RSV Vaccine Voted 100% Effective

The race to launch a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine for adults in the U.S. intensified today as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) voted that the available data support the safety and effectiveness of GSK Inc.' AREXVY™ (RSVPreF3 OA).
The VRBPAC voted 12-0 on effectiveness and 10-2 on safety.
This is very positive news since RSV vaccines are not currently approved anywhere in the world.

Pets Don't Pass Through X-ray Security

Traveling through an airport security checkpoint in the U.S. with a pet can be easy when travelers know what to expect, says the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
However, never place a pet in the X-ray tunnel.
The X-ray at the security checkpoint only screens passengers' personal property and carry-on luggage.
"Pets often travel with their humans and are thought of like family members," says Scott T. Johnson, TSA Federal Security Director for the airport, in a media statement on February 24, 2023.
