The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), an agency of the European Union, today announced earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria are increasing infectious disease threats that may be concerning in the following two to four weeks.
The ECDC stated in a news release on February 20, 2023, food and water-borne diseases, respiratory infections, and vaccine-preventable infections are a risk in the upcoming period.
